Nursery/Room Decor for boy & girl…?

I’m getting more and more excited as my pregnancy continues. I know I’m only 8-9 weeks, but I’m going to have so much to do before the new baby gets here.

My husband, daughter, and I live in a two bedroom house. My husband and I have a room, and my daughter is in the other. Right now her room is a cream color on top and a honey color wood from mid wall to floor. Her room is decorated in a pink, purple, and green ladybug and flowers theme. All of her furniture is honey colored wood.

She and the new baby will have to share this room. I will eventually be moving her to a toddler bed and have the crib for the new baby. (I plan to put the new baby in a bassinet in my room to begin with).

If this baby is a girl, then I will have no problems in decorating. Just more pink will be fine. But what if its a boy? Any ideas on decor for a shared room for a boy and girl.

I was thinking maybe a farm theme? Maybe give her cow print bedding or something with a little pink, and can use the farm for a boy?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Building on is not an option right now, but may be later…

What kind of dog should I get?

ok, so here’s the story. I currently have two dogs and a cat. A boston Terrier named MiMi, a pug named Ladybug “buggy” and a persian cat named Esme. I also had another pug named Lola that died about 3 weeks ago now. So 3 weeks ago my fiance and I were woken up in the middle of the night by Lola who was crying out in pain and when I turned on the light to check her she was dragging her two back legs she couldn’t stand on them at all and was obviously in severe pain. I was completely dumbfounded because she was fine just hours earlier when we had gone to bed. I rushed her to the Emergency Vet and we found out that she had an inoperable tumor on her spine and the only thing we could do was put her down because she was in so much pain and it just killed me, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. At first I didn’t think I would want to get another pet right away, I thought the three we had would be all we needed, but for the past 3 weeks it’s been like living with zombies! MiMi and Buggy barely even play, I’m depressed, my fiance is depressed, even the cat is distraught! I think we all need a new puppy to cheer us up, the only time I’ve seen MiMi and Buggy act happy at all since Lola died was last night when my sister brought her new 2 new boxer puppies over and they just played and played until they left and then they were back to acting depressed. So I’m trying to decide what will be the best puppy for us. I was thinking of getting another cat but Esme hates other cats, she only gets along with dogs which is weird. I had a golden retriever when I was younger and I’ve always wanted another one and we’ve just moved into our dream house and it has a huge fenced in yard and lots of area for one to run and play, but I’m just not sure if a Golden Retriever would be too big for my girls once it’s full grown. My parents show French Bulldogs and they have a puppy that they would give me but they would want me to train it for showing and I’m just not into that whole thing anymore I just like being able to have my pets for pets. I’m currently going to school for my masters in social work and most of my classes are online so I am at home pretty much all the time so right now is the perfect time to get a new puppy because I have plenty of time to devote to training I am just torn on the breed so any suggestions will be appreciated greatly!
