Your Questions About Ladybug Tattoos Meaning

Sandra asks…
Insect tattoos and their meaning..do they have any meaning ??? like the butterflies ,ladybugs etc… ?
do all those insect tattoos have any meaning ???? you see lots of people ( especially females) with butterflies , lady bugs, scarabs, dragonflies etc…..
im trying to figure out what i want for my 1st tattoo i love phoenix tattoos and the meaning behind them i have personal reasons for that but i dont want to start with a big tattoo although they make a beautiful piece of art
i have kinda crazy idea for a tattoo
i have a general idea of what it iwll look like i would want 2 headbuting skulls and wings(small angel wings or moth wing)
so it iwll look like the skulls are a part of the wings i would want to get it on my upper arm
but would it be a little awkward for a guy to have somethign like that
i skipped butterfly cause i think that they are more girly
so thats why i picked moth
i cant post any pictures i dont know why
but the moth that im thinking is Death’s-head Hawkmoth
it has some really great colors

Ladybugs answers:
I like your idea about the death head moth (I’m getting out my drawing tablet now) and I don’t think it would look girlie if done right.
As to insect tattoos and their meaning..I don’t know about any of the others, but a butterfly on a woman means they just wanted a tat to have a tat and spent no time trying to come up with a meaningful design. They just pick something “small off the wall” LOL
“Yes ma’am, I have tattoos but NO I don’t want to see your F***ing butterfly”

Ruth asks…
Do you think tattoos are trashy?
Ok i’m a 14 year old girl and i’m getting a tattoo on my foot its just a lady bug with some leafs around it.Do you think it will look bad on a girl so young? The reason i’m getting it is because my friend got her belly button pierced and now i have to get a tattoo, the ladybug does have a meaning though i’m not just getting it because I think it’s cute.
By the way my mom isn’t trashy I’m getting it done by a pro. but he’s my friend. It is small also.
It has meaning ladybugs mean good luck and fortune.
And I do want this tattoo it’s not like my friend is forcing me to get it.
Ok it was a bet kinda thing or a dare we agreed if she ot her belly button done i would get my tattoo.

Ladybugs answers:
No! As long as it has a meaning, its not going to look trashy! Which even if it didnt have a meaning it still wouldnt look trashy!
just make sure its something you wont regret!

Chris asks…
What is your opinion on tattoos?
I think to each there own. I never think of someone as ‘gross’ or ‘wrong’ for having one. I personally wouldn’t get one that didn’t mean something very important to me because it’s going to be there forever. There are currently 3 tattoos that I would like to get:
1. A pink ribbon made to look like a butterfly, or a pink ribbon held up by butterflies; my mom has breast cancer so this is very important to me. It will likely say ‘mom’ somewhere on it.
2. A tattoo of the curious george monkey with ‘Curious Jeorge’ written on it instead with the date 03/09/2009 on it; this one is for my son….the meaning of my life.
3. A ladybug on a purple lily of some sort; my grandfather died of lung cancer before I was even born, his favourite things were ladybugs and purple lillies…when I went to visit his grave in the middle of winter there was a ladybug on it.
Where do you think I should get them? I don’t want any of them to be very big.
I’ve always felt that my grandfather has been my guardian angel growing up. For every time I’ve had something go wrong in my life there has always been one ladybug land on me. The biggest one is when I was 13 my father left me. We just moved into our new house a while ago and there are a ton of ladybugs in our backyard, even when it’s cold.

Ladybugs answers:
I really love your first idea with the butterflies holding up a pink ribbon, i think it’s a beautiful idea. But i also think your ladybug idea for your grandfather is nice too. Why don’t you get them both or all of them? Tattoos are addictive! And i bet when you get one you will want the others anyway. As to where to have them on your body, you could have one on the inside of your wrist or on top of your wrist, and if you need to hide them for any reason, you could wear a watch, or on your shoulders, back, top of your arm, ankle? I also lost my mother to cancer when i was 9 years old, and have been thinking of something to get to remember her. And isn’t it strange that your backyard is full of the ladybugs? I think your grandfather is still there with you. God bless. X
edit: i disagree with the other post that said your grandfather should not mean anything to you, as you never met. Just because we never met our family does not mean we aren’t connected.
